They are personal flying machines that you wear on your back
No License needed to operate, can be any age with any amount of experience
Can take you thousands of feet into the sky
Usually consuming one gallon of fuel per hour
Operate on Gasoline or AVGAS (LL100)
2 Stroke engines, majority being air cooled
Powered by a hand throttle similar to the front brakes on a bicycle
Can usually be assembled in a few minutes and taken apart to fit in a suitcase
Considered an Ultralight FAR103 vehicle by the FAA in the USA
